Brighton Beach Business Improvement District (BID) is one of the oldest and most established BIDs in New York City. With over three decades of experience, successful promotional initiatives, and a strong commitment to maintaining clean, welcoming streets, the Brighton Beach BID continues to evolve with the community it serves.

Today, Brighton Beach is a vibrant, multicultural neighborhood—a dynamic mix of cultures, languages, cuisines, and traditions. While it has deep roots as a destination for immigrants from the former Soviet Union, it has grown into a diverse and inclusive community that reflects the true spirit of New York City. Brighton Beach Avenue is no longer defined by one identity—it is a lively, international corridor where people from all backgrounds come together to live, work, shop, and celebrate.

We invite all New Yorkers, visitors, and city partners to be part of our story and share in the energy of Brighton Beach Avenue—a place we proudly call our hometown.

The Brighton Beach District Management Association (DMA) was established in 1987 to enhance and support the Brighton Beach Avenue shopping district, from Ocean Parkway to Brighton 15th Street. As a not-for-profit organization, the DMA is guided by a Board of Directors made up of property owners, business operators, residents, government representatives, and community leaders—working together to strengthen and grow the neighborhood.

The Brighton Beach BID, a program of the DMA, provides services that go beyond those offered by the city. These include enhanced sanitation and maintenance, public safety support, seasonal and holiday lighting, marketing and advertising campaigns, community events, and ongoing efforts to promote Brighton Beach as a thriving destination for all.
