Friends,
New York City is at a turning point with COVID-19. While we have maintained low levels of community transmission over the past several months, we are now seeing very concerning increases in cases and hospitalizations across the City. We need to act now to stop these trends. This will require an all-hands-on-deck effort.
Holiday travel & gathering: The City is advising against all travel and against gatherings with people outside your household for the holidays this year. If you do travel, you must follow all State & City guidelines for quarantining and/or testing upon return. See the Health Department’s travel guidance and Safe Holiday guidance.
If you must travel, plan ahead, take precautions and be prepared to quarantine when you return. Traveling During COVID-19 Flyer (PDF)
Testing: Regardless of travel, all New Yorkers should be getting tested. If you test positive, please isolate immediately and answer the call from contact tracers when it comes. Contact tracers will help stop the spread of the virus and can connect you with any resources you need, including medication delivery.
