Brighton Beach Business Improvement District (BID) is among the oldest BIDs in New York City. But not only twenty years of operation, successful promotional campaigns and clean streets make Brighton Beach BID a really unique one. Brighton Beach represents American dream of thousands of immigrants from the former Soviet Union and other countries. Brighton Beach Avenue has become well known as a Russian Capital of the United States.
We would like to make every New Yorker and city agency a part of our celebration and hope that everyone would love Brighton Beach Avenue as we love and cherish our “hometown.”
The Brighton Beach District Management Association (DMA) was established in 1987 to provide services that enhance the Brighton Beach Avenue shopping strip from Ocean Parkway to Brighton 15th Street. The DMA is a not-for-profit organization with the Board of Directors comprised of Brighton Beach property owners, commercial tenants, residents, government officials and civic leaders all working together to make Brighton Beach Avenue a better place to live, work, shop and visit. The Brighton Beach Business Improvement District (BID) is a program of the DMA.
The BID provides additional services beyond those already provided by the city. These include sanitation, maintenance and security, holiday lighting, promotion, advertising, marketing, special events and more.
